Dreaming in Colour

Technicolor Highland emerged from the artist’s encounter with Highland cattle during travels through Scotland, becoming the first work in the Vegan Taxidermy series. Rather than depicting the animal through realism, Filotas imagines an interior world shaped by color, softness, and fantasy, as though the sculpture materializes the cow’s own dream of itself. Through vibrant fiber and tactile form, the piece reimagines taxidermy through empathy, playfulness, and emotional projection.
